| IMASS has developed a Risk Assessment system
which is ideal for both SME’s and some larger concerns,
depending on the nature of the business. Following HSE guidance,
the
IMASS Risk Assessment
approach concentrates on Process Risk Assessment, backed-up
by a range of detailed assessment systems as diverse as DSE,
Fork-lift-trucks, New and Expectant Mothers and Manual Handling
(Lifting, Pushing & Pulling). |

detailed
assessments:- |
|
|
| The IMASS portfolio of Assessment tools is
constantly developing, but can sometimes be limited by our
in-house knowledge base.
Where there is a requirement
for a specifically detailed expert assessment, IMASS works
with a network of specialist providers who can assist with
assessment in specialist areas including Radio Frequency hazards,
High Voltage
Electrical, towers and masts etc. |
 |
The IMASS Risk Assessment system is the basic
component of a package which will support and help manage Health
and Safety in the workplace.
The requirement to assess risk has been implied since the publication of the
1974 Heath and Safety at Work etc. Act. Since 1992 undertaking a suitable and
sufficient assessment of risk employees and non employees who may be effected
by your undertaking has been a requirement .
The IMASS Risk Assessment system is designed to help both the experienced and
non- experienced undertake suitable and sufficient assessments of workplaces,
activities and systems, firstly through a system of Hazards identification. |
| Then:- |
| By identifying those systems in place which
control hazards and any additional controls required, an assessment
of the existing Risk can be made. Remedial actions may then
be determined and action ownership with timescales stated. |
| IMASS Risk Assessment comes on a CD or may
be loaded direct onto your IT Network. Both systems use the
same front page which enables the user to navigate around the
documents. |
| 40 separate categories of Hazard are related
by hyperlink to a hierarchy of control measures giving guidance
and enhancing user confidence and quality of result. |
| 12 categories of Hazard are supported by further
detailed Risk Assessments, including: |

| IMASS will deliver training to you on your
site. Alternatively we can train at our, or any other facility,
if you prefer. We will make an initial visit to you, during
which we will discuss your company’s needs and any existing
management methods we can dovetail in to the IMASS system. We
also like to understand your organisation, so we can provide
you and your people with a product which will give you a practical
system and support which is fit for purpose and on which you
can rely. |
| All personnel who are trained will receive
full supporting documentation; they will only be deemed competent
following an evaluation by IMASS of an actual Risk Assessment
they have undertaken. |
Finally, we can help you develop a Risk Assessment
Management System to help deliver the right information to the
location it is required.
Courses will be delivered by a fully qualified Health & Safety Professional
who is a qualified teacher and who has a wealth of experience in the field of
education. |
| Our tutor will educate your Assessors. Having
undertaken the training they will be conversant with a range
of legislative requirements and understand the concepts and
terminology of Risk Assessment in the field of Occupational
Health & Safety. |
|
The IMASS Risk Assessment Course is designed around the concept of Student Centered
Learning. A practical, which will be assessed within three weeks of the end of
the course by one of our consultants, will finalise the training. At this stage
competency will be confirmed.
